Naked Man Tries Running From Police and Gets Stun Gunned

(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a male with numerous offences as a result of an arrest in Collingwood.

On the 23rd of December 2014 at approximately 6:35pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Sixth Street and Maple Street for a report of a naked male with a skateboard walking down the street. Dispatch information also revealed that this male had been involved in an assault at a residence in Collingwood where the male victim had been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrived on scene where the male resisted arrest and fled only to be located a short time later and taken into custody with the use of a controlled energy weapon (CEW). The male was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure however did not suffer any injuries.

Charged is 23 year-old Josiah WILLEMS of Collingwood, he is charged with aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault, break & enter in a dwelling house to commit indictable offence and resist peace officer. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 27th of January 2015.
