(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles on Armstrong Street North at Haliburton Avenue on January 3, 2015.
Shortly before 1:00 p.m. an automobile entered Armstrong Street from a private driveway when it was struck by a north bound pick-up truck.
The Temiskaming Shores Fire Department attended the scene and assisted with extrication of the driver due to the pick-up truck impacting a local establishment.
Driver of the automobile, Jeanne GRISE, 72, of Haileybury and the passenger Gracia LACHAPELLE, 76, of Haileybury along with the driver of the pick-up truck, Claude JULIEN, 56, of New Liskeard were transported to the hospital by the District of Temiskaming Ambulance where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Jeanne GRISE is charged – Fail to yield from private driveway contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
