OPP Urging Motorists To Drive With Caution As They Deal With Storm Aftermath

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) –The skies have settled since yesterday but Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is urging motorists to continue to drive with caution as they deal with the aftermath of yesterday’s snow storm.

Police are reminding drivers that although visibility has improved and much of the snow is now off the roads, there are many sections along area roadways that are snow covered and icy. Drivers need to continue to keep lots of space ahead of them, slow down through the area and expect the unexpected.

In addition, drivers are asked to actively keep an eye out for police and tow vehicles as they continue to remove vehicles left in the ditch along Highway 401 and secondary roads. If drivers pass emergency vehicles with their lights activated, they are required by law to slow down and move over if it is safe to do so. Not only is it the law, it is the safe and courteous thing to do.
