Fatal Collision On Hwy 10

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Friday, January 9, 2015 at approximately 11:38 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a serious, two vehicle collision on Hwy. 10 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

A 2003 Honda Civic was travelling southbound on Hwy. 10 when it entered the northbound lane and collided with a northbound 2012 Chevrolet SUV.

The lone driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as Steven Henry PERRY, Jr., age 33, (Dundalk) of the Township of Southgate.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 38 year old female, and a 40 year old male passenger, both of Milton, Ontario, were transported to hospital with minor injuries and released.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is assisting with the investigation.

Hwy. 10 is expected to remain closed between Road 170 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands and Southgate Road 26 in the Township of Southgate for approximately 2 hours for the protection of emergency responder. The cooperation of motorists in avoiding the incident area is appreciated.
