(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – Two separate vehicle stops have resulted in stunt driving charges being laid.
At approximately 2:06p.m. on January 10, 2015 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle when it was observed to be travelling at 136 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 35 near Stoney Creek Road. The driver, Marius VOICU, 23 years of age, of North York, was charged with stunt driving. His vehicle was towed from the scene and his licence is suspended.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on February 10, 2015.
At approximately 8:30p.m. in the same vicinity an officer observed a vehicle travelling at 139 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. Trevor TILLEY, 36 years of age, of Lindsay, was charged with stunt driving. His licence was suspended and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on March 10, 2015.
