(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Sunday, January 11, 2015 at approximately 4:54 a.m., a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a male driver passed out in the driver’s seat of a 2002 Ford pickup truck on the West Back Line in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The vehicle was parked on the driving portion of the road with the engine running.
The lone driver was transported to an OPP Detachment where he was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert Officer who determined that the driver was impaired by drug.
Francis Joseph DAURIO, age 36, of the Township of Chatsworth, was charged with the criminal offence of having care or control of a motor vehicle while impaired by drug.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, January 29, 2015.
