(WAWA, ON) – On January 12, 2015 at 10:40 am officers from the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Theft of gas from a White River business. A description of the suspect auto and driver were provided to all Superior East OPP members. The motor vehicle was located travelling Southbound on Highway 17 and subsequently stopped near a local Wawa business.
Investigation led to the arrest of Jordan Lynn MCCONNELL (23) of British Columbia.
The accused stands charged with the following offences,
Adult Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 contrary to section 354 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Adult Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle contrary to section 249 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Adult Theft Under $5000 contrary to section 334 (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Adult Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking contrary to section 145 (5.1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance under 30 grams contrary to section 4 (1) of the Control Drug and Substance Act of Canada.
The male was held for a Bail Hearing in Sault Ste Marie Ontario on Tuesday January 13, 2015.
