(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is investigating the theft of fuel from a Norwood Road, Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Monday, January 12, 2015 in the early morning hours, unknowns attended the address and proceeded to drive a motor vehicle to the rear of the property where they located fuel tanks stored behind a barn. Unknowns then removed a large quantity of coloured diesel fuel from the storage tanks.
Businesses and farms with large fuel storage should make sure pumps and the access to the storage tanks are secured with heavy duty locks. If the location is isolated and unsupervised for long periods of time, consider installing lights and security cameras.
