(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Wednesday January 14th, 2015, at approximately 8:30am, Quinte West OPP responded to a theft complaint at a car dealership located on Dundas Street East, Trenton.
Two sets of car keys were reported to have been stolen from inside the dealership on Tuesday January 13th, 2015. Employees reviewed their surveillance footage and were able to provide police with a description of the male suspect.
Approximately 15 minutes after the report was made, the suspect was located by Police walking on Marmora Street. The male was arrested for the theft and was found to still be in possession of the stolen car keys.
Gregory Sloan, 39, of Trenton was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.
The accused was held for bail and will appear in court tomorrow at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
