(ORILLIA, ON.) The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two males in relation to separate sex related incidents in Orillia.
On January 11, 2015 at approximately 2:47 a.m., the Orillia OPP were contacted by a male party who wanted to turn himself in for sending a sexually explicit picture to a 15 year old female. After investigating the incident the Orillia OPP Crime Unit has arrested and charged the male.
Ryan MEROVITZ, 34 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Luring a Person Under 16 Years Old, Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16 Years Old and Transmit Sexually Explicit Material to a Person Under 16 Years Old.
He will appear in Orillia court on January 27, 2015.
On January 12, 2015 at approximately 3:11 p.m., the Orillia OPP were contacted in relation to the wellbeing of a 14 year old female. Officers located the female at an Orillia residence and she was returned home. Through investigation officers learned that the female had been sent sexually explicit pictures by a 23 year old male. Further investigation by the Orillia OPP Crime Unit revealed that the male had sexually assaulted the female.
Corey MAIN, 23 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 Years Old, Sexual Interference with a Person Under 16 Years Old, Luring a Person Under 16 Years Old, Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16 Years Old, Transmit Sexually Explicit Material to a Person Under 16 Years Old and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
He has been held in custody pending a Bail Hearing.
