(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On January 15, 2015 Drug Enforcement Officers of the Combined Forces Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a South Brodie Street residence in Thunder Bay.
As a result of the investigation 58-year-old Lori Jean SAWDO of Thunder Bay, 49-year-old Mary Ann BROWN of Toronto and 38-year-old James Phillip RIMKUS of Thunder Bay were arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
1) Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000
SAWDO also faces a charge of Trafficking in Oxycodone.
Investigators seized a total of 1,259 tablets of Oxycodone with a street value of approximately $147,390 and $25,670 in Canadian currency. The combined total of the seizure is worth $173,060.
The Combined Forces Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau consists of members from the Ontario Provincial Police – Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, the Thunder Bay Police Service, and the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service.
