(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 8:02 p.m. on Monday the 19th of January 2015, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of an assault at a residence on Chemaushgon Road in the Town of Bancroft. Investigation into the incident revealed that an adult male had been physically assaulted by another male. The male suspect left the residence in an unknown direction of travel prior to police attending. Personal items were reported stolen from the residence.
Police will be in the area of the incident continuing the investigation.
