(LEAMINGTON, ON) – On Thursday January 22nd 2015 at 11:30pm, Leamington OPP officers were on general patrol when they initiated a traffic stop in the Municipality of Leamington. As a result of the vehicle stop the officers seized a quantity of marijuana, prescription pills, cocaine and drug paraphernalia with a street value of approximately $1500.00.
There were four adults in the vehicle and as a result of the evidence obtained all 4 occupants were charged with;
Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act of Canada, times two.
Along with numerous alcohol related offences contrary to the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario.
In addition, two of the adults were additionally charged with;
Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the CDSA times two.
In total 15 Criminal Code and Provincial charges were laid against two adult males and two adult females, from Leamington, Tilbury and Lakeshore.
