(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is reminding residents to immediately contact police if they observe suspicious activity after police investigated an attempted break and enter at a Lingwood Drive, Waterford, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at approximately 5:15 p.m., a concerned resident contacted police after hearing a loud banging noise coming from the area of the basement. The resident looked outside and observed an unknown male attempting to enter the home through a lower basement window.
The unknown male observed the resident and immediately fled from the area. The occupant of the resident ran after the male however lost sight of him after he ran north bound on Lingwood Drive.
The suspect is being described as a male, white, approximately 6’1, 21 to 25 years of age, thin build, dark brown hair, wearing a black jacket with navy coloured patches under the armpits, grey track pants with grease stains and white running shoes.
