(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A local female has been charged with three driving related offences after the vehicle she was operating was stopped by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
On January 29, 2015 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 7 near Lindsay Street for a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) violation. Further investigation resulted in the driver, Katelyn BURCHALL, 19 years of age, of Lindsay, being charged with the following offences:
Driving while suspended, contrary to the HTA
Drive with no currently validated permit, contrary to the HTA
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA)
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on March 10, 2015.
