(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) On January 30, 2015 at approximately 12:20 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting moving radar and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Concession 4 in Puslinch Township. A male driving a 2011 Toyota was observed travelling well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar travelling south bound at 135 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Liam Jackson age 19 of Burlington has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 4, 2015 to answer the charge.
