Fatal Collision – Pedestrian Pronounced Dead At Scene

(HAMILTON TWP, ON) – At 1:30am January 31, 2015 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on County Road 45 north of Highway 401 involving two pedestrians and a pickup truck.

One pedestrian, a 23 year old Oshawa man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 41 year old Hamilton Twp man has been airlifted to a Toronto area trauma centre in critical condition.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) attended the scene and provided assistance to detachment officers with the investigation. All roadways in the area are now open.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit is assisting with the investigation and further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
