(TOWN OF MISSISSIPPI MILLS, ON) – On January 10th, 2015 at approximately 6:15 am the Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision involving serious injuries on Highway 7 in the Town of Mississippi Mills near Tatlock road.
A tractor trailer was travelling on Highway 7 East bound when it struck a small West bound passenger vehicle head on.
The identity of the driver of the passenger vehicle Penny Bell, a 25 year old female from Ottawa, was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries and is now recovering.
The male driver of the tractor trailer is Kenneth Deline, age 39 from Belleville. He is a driver for LMB Transport of Belleville. He was also taken to hospital by ambulance with less serious injuries.
Deline has been charged with the following Highway Traffic Act offences
Careless Driving
Fail to Take 10 Hours Off in a Day
Driver After 14 Hours On Duty in a Day
Deline is scheduled to attend Ontario Provincial Offences Court in Perth, Ontario on March 3rd, 2015
