(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On February 4, 2015 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted in regards to a vehicle in the ditch on MacIntyre Road in the former Eldon Township.
Upon arrival on scene the OPP officer determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was transported to a local hospital for precautionary reasons where he remained due to his suspected high level of intoxication.
Bradley PARKIN, 45 years of age, of Eldon Township, was charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle while his ability was impaired and with failing to provide a suitable breath sample, both contrary to the Criminal Code. He was further charged with having liquor readily available, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, for a bail hearing on February 5, 2015.
