(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Friday, January 30, 2015, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate a structure fire which had been discovered on 8 Concession N. in the Municipality of Meaford at approximately 6:00 p.m. that evening.
Grey County OPP is assisting the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office (OFM) in what is believed to be a fire-related death investigation after human remains were located at the scene.
On Wednesday afternoon, February 4, 2015, investigators recovered the remains of a second body.
The remains have yet to be identified. A post mortem examination will be conducted to determine their identities. The date of the post mortem examination is yet to be determined.
The investigation is continuing.
