(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment have charged a 25 year old male after police responded to an incident at a Queen Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Monday, March 9, 2015 at approximately 4:14 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned member of the public to report an assault.
Through investigation it was determined that the victim was operating their motor vehicle when they stopped for a red light at a Cedar Street address. A driver in another vehicle approached the victim and became involved in a verbal altercation which then turned into a physical confrontation.
On Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at approximately 4:28 p.m., police received a second complaint from a concerned citizen reporting that they were assaulted while walking on Colborne Street South.
It was determined that the victim was crossing the street when they were approached by an unknown male who became involved in a verbal altercation which then turned into a physical confrontation.
As a result of investigation, 25 year old Kyle Joseph PEREIRA of Norfolk County, Ontario was arrested and charged with assault cause bodily harm and assault.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
