(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) County of Brant OPP detachment investigated an incident after being called to a Grandville Circle, Brant County, Ontario address.
On Friday, March 13, 2015 at approximately 12:06 p.m., officers attended Cobblestone Elementary School after a ring was located on the property.
Through investigation it was determined that a 5 year old female was playing near the playground when she located the ring buried in the snow.
As a result, officers were able to trace the ring back to the original owners through the assistance of Paris Jewelers.
Paris Jewelers subsequently cleaned the ring and placed into a jeweler box in order for it to be returned to its rightful owner.
The owner was surprised when police arrived at her place of business where the ring was returned.
“The County of Brant OPP would like to recognize the good deed of this 5 year old child that reunited this lost ring to its rightful owner. The owner was grateful and believed that the ring was lost for ever,” comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, County of Brant OPP.
