(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist for impaired driving as a result of a vehicle stop in Collingwood over the weekend.
On the 15th of March 2015 at approximately midnight, an officer on patrols conducted on a vehicle stop on Ontario Street near Hurontario Street in Collingwood. Interactions with the driver found that he was under the influence of alcohol for which he was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a ‘fail’ reading. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 25 year-old Stephen DESCHAMPS of Collingwood. He is charged with driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 31st of March 2015.
