Ian COX – Drunk Driving

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male motorist this weekend as a result of a vehicle stop in Collingwood.

On the 15th of March 2015 shortly after 2:30am, an officer on patrols conducted a vehicle stop on Ste-Marie Street near Simcoe Street. Interactions with the driver found that he was under the influence of alcohol where he was arrested and transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.

Charged is 28 year-old Ian COX of Mulmur Township, he is charged with Criminal Code charges of driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 31st of March 2015.

He was also charged with a Highway Traffic Act offence of novice driver with blood alcohol concentration above zero.
