John BANKS – Drunk Driving

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 19, 2015 at approximately 9:03 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report from a concerned citizen who had observed a male driving a vehicle in Fergus and was possibly under the influence of alcohol. Officers located the 2004 Ford pickup truck at 6th Line and Elmslie Place, Centre Wellington Township. Police spoke with the driver and believed he was impaired by alcohol. An arrest was made and he was transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.

John BANKS age 50 of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 7, 2015 to answer to the charges.
