Barrie Police were called to a Mapleview Dr department store for a male who had attempted to steal approximately $600 of fishing lures.
The male was known to security and arrested for theft under $5000 as he tried to leave the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.
Barrie Police arrived and continued the arrest of the male who was found to be on a recognizance for a similar shoplifting occurrence.
The male was transported to the Barrie Police Service where he was held for a bail hearing.
