(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 21, 2015 at approximately 4:23 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint from a motorist about a 2004 Pontiac that was northbound on Wellington Road 44 near Highway 7, Guelph-Eramosa Township. Police located the vehicle on Highway 7 and spoke with the male driver who showed signs of alcohol consumption.
A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
Andrew MOORHEAD age 40 of Mississauga has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 10, 2015 to answer to the charge.
