The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 119 calls for service in the last 24 hours. One person was arrested.
Man Refuses to Surrender to Police CK15008273
Last night around 8:00 p.m. officers attended a residence in the Dresden area to arrest a man.
The man was uncooperative and refused to surrender himself. Due to public safety issues, OPP Tactical Response Unit (TRU Team) was called to assist.
Irish School Road between McCreary Line and Kent Line remains closed as officers continue to try and negotiate with the man for a peaceful resolution.

Man Charged with Theft CK15008002
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a theft investigation.
On Monday, March 23, 2015 the man attended Riverview Bingo in Chatham and stole a cell phone that a woman had plugged in charging.
Last night, officers located the man and he was taken into custody.
James Bardoel, 31 years, of Longwoods Road in Chatham Township has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released with conditions pending a future court date of April 14, 2015.
Man Charged with Driving with No Insurance CK15008238
Yesterday morning, around 10:50 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed a vehicle travelling southbound on Richmond Street in Chatham. A query of the vehicle revealed that the registered owner may not have insurance.
The officer initiated a traffic stop on Leeson Drive to further investigate.
The 33-year-old Chatham man was charged with operating a motor vehicle on a highway with no insurance. His vehicle was towed from the roadway.
Traffic Enforcement CK15008288
Yesterday afternoon, members of the Traffic Unit conducted radar enforcement on Queen Line.
A total of 14 motorists were stopped and charged with speeding.
