(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Monday March 30th, 2015, at 11:30pm officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Quinte West detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program on Glen Miller Road at Johnstown Road.
Following an investigation that included a roadside breath test with a male driver, officers arrested a male for Driving with More than 80 milligrams (mgs) of Alcohol in Blood. The male was transported to the Quinte West OPP detachment where he was later released on a Promise to Appear.
Pascal HASEL, 25, of Quinte West was charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood. He will appear in court on April 16th, 2015, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
The Quinte West OPP would like to remind the public that officers in Quinte West continuously monitor roadways for drivers who are impaired by drugs or alcohol. The public is encouraged to call 911 and report impaired drivers immediately so these drivers can be taken off of the road before someone is seriously injured or killed.
