Passing On Gravel Shoulder Results In Roller And Dangerous Driving Charge For Wingham Man

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A 25 year old driver from Wingham is facing a Dangerous Driving charge following a single vehicle roll over collision. On March 30, 2015 at approximately 2:15 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers along with Huron County EMS and North Huron Fire Department personnel responded to the collision scene located on London Road at Cemetery Line.

Upon arrival officers located a silver Honda sedan in the east ditch on its roof. The lone occupant, a young male driver was transported from the scene to hospital in Clinton. He was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.

Upon further investigation officers determined the driver was passing vehicles in a dangerous manner. The driver of the Honda was traveling southbound on London Road when he was observed passing two vehicles by using the gravel shoulder. The driver ultimately lost control of his vehicle and rolled it into the east ditch.

25 year old Justin RILEY from Wingham was arrested and charged on March 30, 2015. He has been charged with Dangerous Driving. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for May 11, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
