(TAY Township, ON.) – On April 1, 2015 a member of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a motor vehicle for speeding on Highway 12 in Tay Township. The officer determined that the driver had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the officer’s investigation, Robert Steven DONALDSON, 38 years of age from Georgian Bay Township was arrested and charged with the following:
1. Driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle, contrary to Criminal Code (CC)
2. Drive with more than 80mgs of alcohol, contrary to Criminal (CC)
The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
