The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 71 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Robbery in Chatham
On April 5, 2015 at 1:15 p.m. the victim was at the Toronto Dominion Bank on King Street in Chatham. While at the instant teller machine the victim withdrew some money and was suddenly pushed aside by the suspect who then ran away with the cash. The victim was not injured during the incident. A short distance away the suspect was located by Chatham-Kent police arrested and the money was recovered.
As a result of the investigation a 29 year old Chatham woman was arrested for robbery and held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Break and Enter in Chatham
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Chatham.
On April 5, 2015 sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) forced their way into an apartment on Grand Avenue West in Chatham through the patio doors. Inside the suspect(s) removed a 70 inch television set, and several pairs of Nike shoes. The approximate value of the items taken is $5000.00.

Man Charged with Impaired Driving in Dresden
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving in Dresden last night.
On April 5, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. at citizen reported to police about an erratic driver in Dresden. Officers located and stopped the suspect’s vehicle on Baseline near Huff Side Road just east of Dresden. Through investigation, the officer believed that the man was operating his car while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
Jacob Neufeld Friessen, 27 years, of Countryview Line in Dresden has been charged with having a blood concentration twice the legal limit. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date.
