(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On April 2, 2015 at approximately 5:00 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Crime Unit (SCU) along with uniform patrol officers assisted by the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence located on Wellington Road 36 in Puslinch Township.
Police conducted a search of the residence and seized a quantity of cocaine, hydromorphone, syringes containing a suspected opiate substance along with drug paraphernalia. A male and female that were located in the residence were taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed that the male was bound by a Recognizance of Bail not to possess or consume any illegal substance without a prescription.
The female suspect was also found to be breaching the same condition on a Recognizance of Bail and a Probation Order.
Michael THERIAULT age 40 of Puslinch Township has been charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, Possession of Schedule 1 Substance and Possession of Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Nicole OWEN age 27 of Guelph has been charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Possession of Schedule 1 Substance and Possession of Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
They were both scheduled to appear in Bail Court on April 2, 2015.
