(Prescott, On) Just before 11:00 pm on April 5th 2015, police were dispatched to an assault in the area of Dibble St. and Edward St. in the Town of Prescott. Police were advised that during the altercation the victim had been struck in the head with a hammer and the suspect had left the area on foot. A description was provided and a short time later police located and arrested a 15 year old male (Young Person).
The young person had been involved in numerous incidents over the past 2 days including:
April 3, 2015 Mischief – a residence on Dibble St had the front window smashed by a piece of asphalt in the Town of Prescott
April 4, 2015 Mischief – pulled a fire alarm at apartments in the Town of Prescott
April 4, 2015 Mischief – a brick was thrown through the front windshield of a vehicle on Duke St. in the Town of Prescott
April 4, 2015 Mischief – a rock thrown through porch windows at a residence on East St. in the Town of Prescott
April 4, 2015 Mischief – a brick thrown through window at a residence on Park St. in the Town of Prescott
April 4, 2015 Mischief – a rock was thrown through windows at the Leo Boivin Community Centre in the Town of Prescott
The 15 year old male from the Town of Prescott has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Six counts of Mischief. He is to appear in court at a later date.
The victim did not require medical attention.
