(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On March 13th, 2015 at approximately 7:45 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a reported robbery at a residence on Beck Street in the Town of Wasaga Beach.
An initial OPP investigation revealed that three masked males entered the above residence and stole a wallet from a male resident. A further investigation revealed that after the theft a struggle between the male resident and one of the masked males resulted in the male resident being sprayed with what Police believe to be “Bear Spray”. These masked males then left the scene with two others in a dark coloured truck.
After an extensive investigation with the aid of the Huronia West Crime Unit four males and one female has been charged for the above crime.
Charged with “Robbery with a Weapon” and “Break and Enter with Intent” are 28 year old male from Orillia, a 28 and 27 year old males from Rama First Nation and a 25 year old male from Clearview Twp. In addition Police have charged the above four males with “Disguise with intent”, the 28 year old male from Orillia with “Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon” and a 23 year old female from Collingwood with “Robbery with a Weapon”.
