(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On April 3, 2015 at approximately 2:10 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a possible impaired driver on Dogwood Road near Longwoods Road.
Police initiated a traffic stop and determined that the driver of the green Jeep had been drinking alcohol. The male was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Jeffery BABCOCK, age 41, from Southwest Middlesex, Ontario, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.
The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear before the London courts on April 28, 2015 to answer to the charges.
