Collision On County Road 18 Sends Several To Hospital

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), County of Brant detachment is investigating a motor vehicle on County Road #18.

On Saturday April 11, 2015 at approximately 6:00 pm members of the County of Brant OPP, along with members of the County of Brant Fire, Brantford City Fire and ambulances from the County of Brant, Waterloo and Six Nations responded to a collision involving two motor vehicles on County Road #18 in the County of Brant.

The accident involved a SUV driven by a 29 year old Brantford man, who along with his two minor children was transported to hospital via ambulance with minor injuries. Also in the SUV was a 30 year old female who suffered non-life threatening injuries and was also transported to hospital via ambulance.

The second vehicle was a mini-van driven by a 17 year old male from Flamborough Township in Hamilton who along with a 16 year old male passenger also from Flamborough Township in Hamilton suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital via ambulance. Also in the van was a 16 year old male passenger also from Flamborough Township in Hamilton who suffered non-life threatening injuries and were also transported to hospital via ambulance.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) have been deployed to the scene to assist with the investigation.

The County of Brant OPP will continue to have County Road #18 between Henry Street and Johnson Road closed for the next few hours while they investigate the accident.
