Two ATVs Recovered, Three People Charged

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment has charged 3 males with Possession of Stolen Property after being called to a suspicious vehicle at a Harris St. Hagersville, Haldimand County, ON address.

On Sunday April 12th, 2015 at approximately 10:15 hrs Police were called to a Hewitt Dr. Hagersville, Haldimand County, ON address to investigate the theft of two All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV) a yellow 2002 Honda TRX and a blue Yamaha Raptor. The ATV’s had been removed from an unlocked storage shed occurred sometime overnight.

At approximately 3:44 pm Police were called to a Harris St. Hagersville address after receiving a suspicious vehicle call of two ATV’s being loaded into a van.

Upon arrival in the area the suspect vehicle had left, but information was obtained of the vehicle description and direction of travel.

A short time later the suspect vehicle was located and stopped by Police at Main St. Hagersville address.

As a result of the information received from a concerned citizen Police were able to recover the two stolen ATV’s and charge three people.

Charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, Break and Enter, and Trespassing at Night is 18 year old Gerald Rogers of Niagara Region, ON and a 17 year old Norfolk County, ON male. Also charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 is a 16 year old Stoney Creek, ON male. All three are to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
