Signs Stolen

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment received a report of thefts from a McDowell Road East and a Van Norman Street, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario addresses.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at approximately 3:45 p.m., police received a call from a concerned member of the public about signs that had been stolen in Norfolk County, Ontario.

Through investigation it was determined that between Monday, March 30, 2015 and Sunday, April 12, 2015, unknowns attended the Charlotteville area and proceeded to damage and removed two village signs from Bills Corners and the Hamlet of Normandale.

The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

Police are reminding all Norfolk County residents to report suspicious behaviour. If you see suspicious persons or vehicles, try to obtain as much detail as you can, write down the person(s) description, the type of vehicle they are driving and the licence plate number.

Then don’t delay, call the police and report it. 1 – 888 – 310 – 1122 will put you in contact with the nearest O.P.P. Communications Centre to report the activity. OPP (677) on your cellular will also work.
