(Oro-Medonte, ON) – The Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to several complaints from the public about a white, highly modified pickup truck observed in the Lakeshore/Line 9 South area of Oro-Medonte Twp. Residents reported that the vehicle was being driven recklessly with a very loud exhaust system. The truck was described as a white, raised pickup truck with tinted windows, black wheels, mud/off road tires, and blue high intensity headlights.
On Saturday April 25, 2015, shortly after 9:00pm officers patrolling the area located the vehicle. As a result of the investigation Devon ROWE (23yrs) of Bracebridge was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Over 80mgs blood alcohol. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on May 11, 2015. He also received a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and had his vehicle impounded for 7 days.
