Two Disqualified Drivers Caught

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) In two separate incidents over the weekend, Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers charged two men with driving while disqualified.

The first incident occurred Saturday April 25, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., when an officer stopped a Dodge pickup on Highway 401 westbound, near Orford Road, for a speeding violation. Subsequent OPP investigation revealed that the 51 year old male driver, Scott DOLSON, from Southwold, ON, was driving while disqualified and had a number of licence suspensions. As a result, the driver has been charged with Drive While Disqualified, Driving While Under Suspension x3 and Speeding. He will appear in a Chatham court on May 29, 2015, to answer to the charges.

The following day, in the early morning hours of April 26, 2015, just after 1:00 a.m., an officer stopped a Pontiac car for a traffic violation on Richmond Street in Chatham. Further investigation revealed that the driver, 31 year old Jeremy NEELY, from Chatham, was driving while disqualified and had a suspended driver’s licence. As a result, the driver has been charged with Driving While Disqualified and Driving While Under Suspension. The vehicle has been impounded for 45 days. He will appear in a Chatham court on June 3, 2015, to answer to the charges.
