(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On April 24, 2015, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting RADAR enforcement on Highway 401 near Harwich Road.
Just before midnight, the officer observed a westbound BMW car that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr. The RADAR registered a speed of 164 km/hr.
The 29 year old male driver from Pickering has been charged with racing. The driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days, as per statute.
