(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 29 year old man with several criminal charges after conducting an investigation into a suspicious vehicle at a McDowell Road, Langton, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Saturday April 25th, 2015 at approximately 8:00 pm Police observed a black Honda car being driven in an erratic manner. In attempts to investigate, Police followed the vehicle to a McDowell Road address where it was left abandoned and the driver entering into a nearby barn.
As the investigation continued a quantity of drugs was found in the Honda car with the suspect driver attempting to flee the area on an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). A short distance away the ATV was abandoned and the operator was observed fleeing into a nearby bush area on foot.
The OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team members conducted a search of the area which resulted in the arrest of a 29 year old male.
Charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Driving while Disqualified, Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (Hydromorph Contin) and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (Oxycodone) is 29 year old Jacob GUENTHER of Norfolk County, ON. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
