Man Arrested on Canada Wide Warrant CK15011765
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant.
On April 27, 2015, the Calgary Police Service notified the Chatham-Kent Police Service that they had located the man in their jurisdiction. Arrangements were made to return for him on April 28, 2015.
Yesterday, the 66-year-old Calgary man was escorted back to Chatham-Kent by members of Criminal Investigations Branch. He has been charged with multiple domestic and sex related offences. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police Execute Search Warrant CK15012014
Yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence in Chatham.
A total of 176 marihuana plants, at various stages of growth, with a total street value of $176,000 were located and seized.
A 54-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with production of marihuana. He was released pending a future court date of May 28, 2015.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15012074
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On March 25, 2015 the man was released from custody with several conditions. On April 21, 2015, he failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Last night around 8:40 p.m. officers located the man and he was taken into custody.
David Murphy, 26 years, of Grand Avenue East in Chatham was released pending a future court date of May 20, 2015.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK15011999
The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding a break and enter.
Sometime April 29, 2015 between midnight and 6:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked residence on Plantation Place. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a wallet, purse, Razorback laptop and Xbox One. Total value of the theft was estimated at $3500.
