Noise And Alcohol Over The Weekend

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) Over the past few days Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have had calls about noisy neighbours, and have charged pedestrians with liquor related offences.

Huntsville OPP detachment members received complaints with loud music, people yelling in parking lots and late night party goers in apartments. With the warmer weather upon us, windows are open and people are outside later.

Two charges of open liquor in a public place were issued and a local male was charged with being intoxicated in a public place under the liquor licence act and was taken to Huntsville detachment for his safety.

Huntsville OPP would like to remind local residents to check with the Town of Huntsville and the Township of Lake of Bays to confirm the times of the noise bi-law. Most of the calls that the OPP attend to the noise makers are not even aware that they are too loud or disturbing their neighbours.
