(HALIBURTON, ON) – On May 2, 2015 at approximately 2:52am, officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling in the area of Kennisis Lake Rd in the Township of Dysart et Al at which time they observed the driver of an ATV operating the vehicle in an erratic manner.
The officers conducted a vehicle stop to check on the driver’s sobriety. Upon speaking with the male driver, the officers immediately detected that the driver displayed signs of impairment by alcohol. The male was arrested and transported to the Haliburton Highlands Detachment for testing.
As a result of the vehicle stop, Jack MORRISON, age 37, from Dysart et al has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with driving while ability impaired-motor vehicle (alcohol) and driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in blood.
The accused was released and he is scheduled to make a first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on June 3, 2015.
