(Marmora, ON) – On May 2, 2015 at 11:30 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a call for assistance on Matthew Street near North Hastings Ave in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake. A motorist travelling on Matthew Street discovered an unconscious man laying on the roadway. Having suffered significant trauma, the man was transported to hospital with serious, life threatening injuries.
On May 3, 2015 twenty-nine year old Samuel PEARCE and 20 year old Austin SATAMO both of Marmora, ON were arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault. In addition PEARCE faces charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Breach of Probation. Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing at Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville on May 4, 2015.
