(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On May 10, 2015 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) set up a RIDE check program at the intersection of Kawartha Lakes Road 121 and Kawartha Lakes Road 8.
An officer approached a vehicle as it entered the RIDE check point and determined that there was open alcohol in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Gregory LABELLE, 44 years of age, of Maple, was charged with driving while having an open contained of alcohol, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. The accused faces a fine of $215.00.
