(KINGSTON, ONT) – Following a drug activity related investigation by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) – East, Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in conjunction with the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service, Specialized Operations Section; two individuals are facing charges involving the sale and distribution of controlled substances in Eastern Ontario.
On April 3 2015 officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 401 in the Kingston area.
The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine pills, cocaine, marihuana, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.
The male driver, Corporal Lucas STEWART (23) of Kingston, Ontario – a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and passenger Chelsey ROMANS (19) of North Dundas Township were arrested and each charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (3 counts)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
They were released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on May 21, 2015.
