(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Tuesday May 12, 2015 just after 6:00am Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was made aware of a vehicle that had been taken from a driveway on Muskoka Rd #3N in the town of Huntsville.
While police were investigating the theft of the 2001 KIA was in a ditch not far from where it had been taken. No one was around the vehicle.
Huntsville OPP was also made aware of theft of change from a motor vehicle not far from the original theft of the KIA.
Crime Prevention Lock it or Lose It campaign has been part of the OPP for several years. The condition your vehicle is left in when parking it for the night could mean protecting your vehicle from theft. A reminder to remove the keys from the vehicle, take all personal and valuable items with you or keep them out of plain view and finally lock the doors.
